About us
Hello, I’m Amy, the person behind Wylderfolk!
A Scot, now based in Surrey - the most wooded county in the UK… e.g. the perfect place to run forest bathing sessions - and I have always loved nature. With a background in conservation and science communication, I am passionate about re-connecting people with nature and sharing all of the amazing things that can happen when we spend a little time in it and care for it.
The forests and the mountains have always provided me with a place to take a deep breath away from the busyness and stresses of life. For me, being in these natural landscapes is the greatest source of wonder and fascination and as well as a never-ending fuel for my creativity and passions.
I care about the future of our natural world and feel a sense of responsibility to help it in whatever way that I can. I myself have experienced the positive impacts that spending time in nature can have on my health and want to share that with as many people as possible. Through my forest bathing practice, I hope to give people the space to reconnect to themselves and to nurture their connection with nature.
I am a certified forest therapy practitioner, having completed my training with the Light Box Project in Bristol. I am also a certified Mental Health First Aider and have an Outdoor First Aid qualification.
