Join one of our upcoming forest bathing sessions in Leatherhead, Surrey.
Forest bathing, also known as forest therapy or Shinrin-yoku, is the practice of spending time in nature and exploring with your senses. It encourages us to slow down both physically and mentally and connect with ourselves and the environment around us.
When we spend time outside, we are soaking up the benefits afforded to us by the plants and trees growing around us. Research has shown that forest bathing can help lower our blood pressure, reduce our levels of stress hormones and improve our heart health. It also nurtures feelings of relaxation and calmness as well as more positive thoughts and feelings.
Date: 26th July 2026
Time: 9-11:30am
Location: Nower Wood Nature Reserve, Leatherhead
Join us for a forest bathing session in the secluded Nower Wood Nature Reserve and carve out some time away from the stresses of everyday life to slow down, reconnect with yourself and nature through your senses.
Research has shown that forest bathing can have positive impacts on your health, like lowering your blood pressure, and mental wellbeing, by increasing positive thoughts and lowering anxiety.
You’ll be led by forest therapy practitioner, Amy, through a series of invitations which encourage you to slow down and explore your surroundings with your senses and culminates in sharing tea together.
Further information about the event, like where to meet, will be sent to you after booking. We do have access to facilities on site.
A 10% donation will be made to Surrey Wildlife Trust from each ticket purchase - supporting their ongoing conservation work to protect and restore vital habitats, like Nower Wood, across Surrey.
Please note that this session is for adults only.
